Job description

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England

£17 per hour

Newstaff Employment Services is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV2 Driver for one of our esteemed clients based in Hemel Hempstead. This ongoing role is available for immediate start, perfect for individuals who are ready to hit the ground running in a dynamic driving position.

Role Summary: As an HGV2 Driver, you will be responsible for making timely deliveries across the region.

• Location: Hemel Hempstead
• Hours of Work: Starting at 04:00 or 05.00 each morning until finish, typically lasting a 10 hour shift.
• Salary: £17per hour (Paye)
• Contract Type: Temporary, starting immediately

Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of an HGV2 lorry during shifts.
• Delivery of goods using a tail lift
• Work to load, unload, and ensure the correct delivery of items.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with all transportation laws and regulations.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and that any maintenance issues are reported promptly.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV2 driving license.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
