Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is looking for a permanent team leader for its recycling and waste collection service. You will lead a small crew, run collection rounds, and ensure health and safety at all times.

The role involves early starts, potential bank holiday work, and using in-cab devices to report issues. You will need a valid HGV Class 2 / LGV C licence with CPC, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Sound health and safety knowledge of the industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to two crew members.
• Complete collection rounds.
• Be responsible for team health and safety.
• Ensure safe systems of work and incident reporting are followed.
• Give feedback on collections and issues using the in-cab device.
• Assist with bin loading.
• Motivate your team and work with other team leaders and crews to keep the service efficient.
• Deal with residents politely and professionally and explain services confidently.
