Job Title: HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver - Plant Hire

We are a Regional Plant Hire company seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver based in the Colchester area. The role involves delivering and collecting construction and plant equipment, primarily from construction and building sites.

**Position Details:**

• Permanent, full-time position
• Monday to Friday work schedule
• No weekend or overnight work

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload plant and construction equipment (e.g., diggers, dumpers, telehandlers)
• Secure plant equipment for transportation safely
• Work efficiently under pressure
• Complete administrative tasks, including delivery tickets
• Maintain professionalism and positive attitude when delivering to customer sites
• Adhere to health and safety standards in line with HSE and company policies

Skills & Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably with HGV 2 vehicles
• Experience in the plant hire or construction equipment industry is advantageous
• Full clean driving licence (Class 2)
• CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Good knowledge of the local road network
• Strong communication skills
