Job summary

FTS Recruitment is seeking a Home Delivery HGV2 Driver for a client based in Allington, near Maidstone. This role offers an hourly rate of £18.38 with overtime after 48 hours at £27.57, and fortnightly pay.

Newly qualified drivers are welcome. You will work in a 2-person team, delivering beds, sofas and wardrobes, with fittings and handball/heavy lifting involved. Training is provided, with a schedule of 4 on/2 off including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have own transport to site.
• Valid UK CPC and Tacho Card.
• Licence points must be 6 or fewer; no TT, DD, CD, IN10, MS50, UT50 or DR1.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a 2-man home delivery crew.
• Deliver beds, sofas and wardrobes; carry out fittings like feet and doors as needed.
• Handball and heavy lifting are required.
• Typical drops per day: 13–17 within a local Allington radius.
• Induction and company training provided.

Job Details:

• Hourly rate : £18.38 per hour, overtime £27.57 per hour after 48hours per week - Pay is fortnightly on set pay days.
• Minimum pay : 9 hours pay per shift
• Start time : Between 05:00-07:00 AM
• Shift duration : 10 - 12 hours
• Shift pattern: 4 on 2 off, 4 on 2 off, 5 on 2 off - Does include weekends

Job Description:

• You ill be working as a home delivery team, going out as part of a 2 man crew
• Delivering beds, sofa, wardrobes which will involve installations such as fitting feet, putting doors on etc.
• MUST be ok with handball and heavy lifting
• Number of drops: Generally between 13-17 drops per day - within a radius of Allington.
• Training: Induction and company training provided

Requirements:

• You must have your own transport to get to site.
• Must have a UK driving licence with a valid UK CPC and Tacho Card.
• Driving licence must not exceed 6 points (no TT, DD, CD, IN10, MS50, UT50 or DR1)
