Job summary

XPO Logistics is recruiting a full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver for our site in East Leake, UK. The role involves loading trailers, securing goods, and performing yard movements within a busy on-site yard. No road work is required, and full training will be provided.

You will operate a Tug on-site, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Shunting experience is essential; LGV/HGV Class 1 entitlement is ideal.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible in working hours
• Previous Terberg shunt unit experience is desirable but training will be provided
• Ideally LGV / HGV C+E / Class 1 Entitlement on your licence
• If a trained yard shunter without HGV Class 1, we will look to upskill your current licence
• No more than 6 points, with no DD or DR endorsements present

Responsibilities

• You will be loading trailers and securing goods safely
• You will be performing trailer movements in our busy regional yard
• You will be driving a Tug on-site so previous experience would be an advantage
• All work is yard-based, no road work is expected
• You will be responsible for yard safety and adherence to site rules
