The Challenge…

• Communicate effectively with workshop technicians and service reception to validate booking information and repair times.
• Manage customer expectations throughout the service process.
• Maximize shift performance through problem solving, coaching, and development.
• Check and sign off R2C inspection documents.
• Manage workshop work-in-progress and provide timely updates.
• Address job issues/problems in real time to ensure quality and minimize customer downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs following manufacturer procedures.
• Work to high standards, surpassing manufacturer and VOSA standards.
• Diagnose faults quickly using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Conduct safety checks and prepare vehicles for MOTs.
• Maintain product knowledge and skills according to company standards.
• Attend training courses as required.
• Perform quality control on technician repairs.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and adhere to H&S standards.
• Record all jobs properly, including times and service sheets within the agreed timescales.

The day to day…

• 50 hours a week
• 20:00-06:30 Monday – Friday

To succeed, you’ll need…

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
• Experience in diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance.
• Relevant knowledge and experience as an HGV Technician; dealership experience preferred.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team of technicians.
• Ability to coach and support technicians.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

You’ll really hit the ground running if you have…

• Experience using R2C.
• An HGV Licence (not essential).
• Experience managing technicians and customers.
