RE Recruitment Group is seeking an HGV Workshop Supervisor for Beenham, Berkshire, to lead a skilled workshop team while staying hands-on in the workshop. This full-time role offers long-term career prospects within a well-established fleet maintenance and transport company.

The role involves supervising technicians, carrying out servicing and diagnostics, managing documentation, and supporting parts ordering, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within an HGV or commercial vehicle workshop.
• LGV Class 2 licence and digital tachograph card.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and workshop compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervising HGV Technicians and Apprentices, ensuring efficient allocation of work and smooth workshop operations.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles when required.
• Managing job cards, service documentation, defect reporting and workshop records.
• Supporting parts ordering, stock control and fleet maintenance system updates.
• Driving continuous improvement, compliance and high standards of safety across the workshop.
