The Lanes Group is seeking a Supervisor to lead the HGV Tanker Driver team in the Southampton region at the Millbrook depot. You will ensure efficient, compliant tankering operations across the Waste Contract, coordinating with engineers and site teams.

Working pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off (06:00-18:00), 40.25 hours per week, with a competitive annual salary of £35,678. Previous leadership experience and a valid Class 1 HGV licence are required.

• Strong focus on safety, PPE usage and policy adherence.

Department: The Logistics Management Centre (LMC) supports Southern Water's wastewater operations by delivering specialist tankering and treatment solutions across Hampshire, Sussex and the Isle of Wight regions. Working closely with operational teams, the LMC plays a key role in maintaining network resilience, responding to incidents, supporting planned maintenance activities, and helping to protect customers and the environment.

Our Tankering Division provides a flexible fleet resource to manage wastewater movements across the network, while our Treatment Division delivers specialist services to clean, maintain and optimise critical wastewater assets.

Purpose of the role: We are looking for Supervisors to lead the team of HGV Tanker Drivers to work across the Southampton Region. You will be responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently in line the Waste Contract. The work incorporates tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all engineers are compliant with PPE & Company policy's standards
• Supporting engineers on the field
• Competencies of engineers
• Audits
• Training of engineers
• Managing sites and keeping clients up-to-date
• H&S onsite
• Basic vehicle maintenance & stock
• Work instructions to engineers
• Problem-solving
• Site set up and site stand down as well as housekeeping
• Planning breaks on 12hrs or 24hrs drivers
• Taking deliveries and off-hiring equipment
• To carry out any reasonable ad hoc request by LMC Managers or the Senior Leadership Team
• Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
