Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate gritting vehicles and other specialist plant and equipment.
• Carry out winter maintenance activities including gritting, inspections and minor highway maintenance works.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
• Record time, resources and operational activities using company systems.
• Attend team briefings and contribute to safe, efficient operations.
• Work closely with colleagues, clients, emergency services and members of the public.
• Maintain accurate records and complete all required paperwork.

We're recruiting Winter Patrol Drivers to join our NMC North East team in Peterhead on a fixed-term contract throughout the winter season. In this vital role, you'll help keep roads safe and accessible during some of the year's most challenging weather conditions.

From operating gritting vehicles to supporting essential highway maintenance activities, you'll play a key role in keeping Scotland moving.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Winter Operations team, you'll:

• Drive and operate gritting vehicles and other specialist plant and equipment
• Carry out winter maintenance activities, including gritting, inspections and minor highway maintenance works
• Complete daily vehicle checks and reports any defects accurately
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures
• Record time, resources and operational activities using company systems
• Attend team briefings and contribute to safe, efficient operations
