Job summary

Sharpak Aylesham is recruiting a Warehouse Operative to support Team Leaders in daily warehouse tasks, including stock receipts, case picking and trailer loading/unloading.

The role involves using counterbalance, pivot, reach and pedestrian pallet trucks to move goods, while maintaining hygiene standards and safety at all times. Training and development opportunities are available within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting warehouse operations and stock handling.
• Ability to operate mechanical handling equipment to move pallets.
• Adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Class 1 driving/shunter experience for trained personnel (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Locate stock receipts in the warehouse and raise discrepancies to Team Leaders/Managers.
• Pick goods from stock as directed by Team Leaders/Managers.
• Operate mechanical handling equipment to move pallets to meet business needs.
• Inspect trailers before loading to ensure cleanliness and sign load sheet.
• Ensure goods are loaded/unloaded correctly and undamaged.
• Perform stock movements per company procedures.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and report damaged products.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and report faulty equipment.
• Complete vehicle inspections and defect book at shift start.
• Move loaded/unloaded trailers to meet business demands.
