Salary Range: £31,418 - £34,116 per annum, inclusive of £4,500 per annum Market Supplement, subject to conditions

Hours per week: 37 (Monday to Thursday - 8:00 to 16:30, Friday - 8:00 to 16:00)

The Role:

Hampshire Transport Management is the internal provider of transport solutions to Hampshire County Council, dedicated to maintaining a fleet of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), light good vehicles (LGVs), cars, and winter maintenance equipment (Gritters) to the highest standards. We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction for both our internal and external clients.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleets, ensuring all vehicles are in optimal condition and meet regulatory standards.

  • £2000 additional annual Market supplement available for those holding an Automotive industry recognised Level 4 Advanced vehicle diagnostics qualification (Master Technician level), subject to conditions.
  • £3000 OTE additional earnings during winter season (October to April) subject to standby Rota participation and callouts, subject to conditions.
  • Basic hours per week: 37 – Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 16:30, Fridays 8:00 to 16:00.
  • Part time hours would be considered for the right candidate.
  • No shift work involved, with the exception of winter season work.
  • Overtime available subject to workload.
  • Flexibility and support given to assist and support families and significant life events.
