Job summary

A vehicle maintenance company in Trostre Depot is seeking an HGV Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and inspecting Council fleet vehicles, diagnosing faults, and maintaining specialized hydraulic and electrical systems. Candidates must possess an NVQ Level 3 in motor vehicle engineering and a valid Driving Licence (Category B). This role is full-time with working hours from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Fridays.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Driving Licence (Minimum Category B).
  • Experience in servicing, inspecting, and repairing fleet vehicles.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing and inspections of Council fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles.
  • Maintain hydraulic and electrical equipment.
