About the role

As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You’ll work with experienced technicians who provide the tools and support to help you succeed and develop in your role.

At a glance:

Salary - up to £44,200 with overtime when required. If you join on or before 4 October, this role also attracts a Shift Premium of 20% (calculated on the pay range minimum), adding up to £6,300 annually. If you join on or after 5 October 2025, time worked between 18:00-22:00 attracts an Evening Premium of £3 per hour for those enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Working Hours - Full time, 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota, with the expectation of working 1 in 2 Saturdays, at premium overtime rates.

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday - 06:00-14:00
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday - 14:00-22:00

Contract type - Permanent

Location - Magna Park (NDC)

What you'll be doing

As a Technician within the team, you’ll be working on our large HGV lorries. It will be your job to ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both VOSA and Partnership’s requirements. You will ensure that relevant sections of inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our O Licence obligations, and that all spares requests and timebooks are completed daily. You will need to be aware of best practice and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to ensure high quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner, with appropriate use of spare parts and consumables.

Essential Experience/Qualifications
  • City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications
