Job description

What will I be doing?

Your job will be to maintain our fleet, working with diverse vehicle technology and sophisticated ancillary equipment. SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is a substantial national business with 5,000 employees across 300 locations and a fleet of over 1,500 vehicles. Your daily tasks will include:

• Carrying out service, maintenance, and repair of all types of vehicles and equipment
• Diagnosing and rectifying all types of faults
• Preparing and conducting MOT tests
• Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
• Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to reach your full potential

What are the requirements?

• Proven experience and knowledge in repairing and maintaining vehicles
• NVQ Level 3 in HGV Mechanics (or equivalent)
• HGV licence class 1 or class 2 is advantageous but not necessary; opportunities for obtaining HGV licences are available
• Inspection training/IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but can be provided
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is an advantage; training can be provided if required
• You must be able to inspect vehicles to the DVSA standards and above
