Job summary

Pertemps Stoke on Trent is seeking an HGV Valeter to prepare commercial vehicles to a high standard for sale and export in Stoke-on-Trent. This full-time, permanent role involves thorough cleaning, polishing, detailing, and presenting trucks for photography and inspections.

You should have valeting or vehicle preparation experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. We offer ongoing training, a supportive team, and opportunities to develop a long-term career

Qualifications

• Previous valeting or vehicle preparation experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively towards deadlines.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Desirable experience using pressure washing equipment.
• Experience working with HGVs, commercial vehicles, or large fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Clean and valet the interior and exterior of HGVs and commercial vehicles to a high standard.
• Operate pressure washing equipment to clean vehicles effectively (training can be provided).
• Work outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions, with PPE and waterproof clothing provided.
• Ensure vehicles are fully prepared and presented before being photographed for sale.
• Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Keep the wash bay and surrounding areas clean, organised and safe.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and guidelines.
• Work efficiently to meet preparation targets and deadlines.
