Overview

We are a well-established, family-run haulage company with over 60 years of history and a strong reputation for reliability and service. We are seeking a skilled and proactive HGV Tyre Fitter to join our team in Studley, ensuring the safe and efficient running of our vehicles and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspection, fitting, repair, and replacement of tyres on HGVs, trailers, and other company vehicles.
  • Ensure all tyre work is completed to industry standards, meeting health and safety regulations.
  • Perform tyre pressure monitoring, wheel balancing, and alignment checks where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of tyre usage, repairs, and stock levels.
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide roadside tyre assistance when necessary.
  • Liaise with drivers and workshop staff to identify tyre-related issues and provide solutions.
  • Keep the workshop and work areas clean, safe, and organised.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a tyre fitter, preferably with HGVs or commercial vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of different tyre types, fitting techniques, and safe working practices.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to respond to breakdowns or out-of-hours requirements.
