Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Technician to support our operations in Carrington. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers to ensure they are in optimal condition. The position is based on a Monday-Friday day shift pattern, to be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair trailers, addressing mechanical breakdowns and damages.
  • Provide technical advice and support to team members.
  • Conduct weekly inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Travel to local sites as needed.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely.
  • Assemble parts and systems according to specifications.
  • Operate forklifts to move trailers and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service.
Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in mechanical repair, preferably with trailers or similar equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems related to trailers.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding.
  • Operational experience with forklifts (training provided if needed).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
