Qualifications

Job description

We currently have a vacancy for an HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor working on the night shift at our Newark depot.

Candidate requirements:

1. Previous workshop supervisor experience as a technician/mechanic in HGV, Commercial Vehicles, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, or related sectors
2. Recognised apprenticeship or training programme
3. Level 3 qualification (C&G, NVQ or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
4. Strong technical knowledge and fault diagnosis skills
5. Experience in safety inspections and MOT preparation
6. Ability to accurately complete paperwork and job records
7. Basic computer literacy
8. Full UK driving licence; Class 1 preferred
9. Own tools

Role responsibilities:

1. Managing a team of HGV technicians
2. Ensuring workshop compliance with health and safety legislation
3. Allocating work and completing job cards
4. Servicing and maintaining trucks and vehicles
5. Fault diagnostics and repairs
6. MOT preparation and safety inspections
7. Ensuring repairs follow manufacturer procedures and safety standards
8. Road testing vehicles as required
9. Participating in technical and development training

Working hours:

Monday – Friday, 9:45 pm to 6:45 am.
