Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is actively seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our Padworth depot. You will service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles and prepare units for MOT testing, aiming for high diagnostic standards.

The position offers a basic salary of £49,000 per annum plus overtime, with rotating shifts and Monday–Friday hours. You will join a skilled team and have opportunities to develop technical expertise.

Qualifications

• A recognised HGV Technician qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in HGV or commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A reliable, organised and proactive approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT testing.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and technical faults.
