Qualifications

• Experience as a HGV Technician/Engineer/Mechanic is essential.
• HGV Technical qualification - NVQ or City and Guilds preferred, or relevant experience.
• Experience with auxiliary equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Routine inspection and repair of vehicles within the workshop.
• Perform MOT inspections, repairs, and prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Attend breakdowns, diagnose issues, and complete repairs to high standards.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our Widnes depot. You will service and repair a variety of vehicles, including refuse trucks. Specialist training will be provided to develop your skills for our specialist assets. Candidate Requirements

• Experience as a HGV Technician/Engineer/Mechanic (essential)
• HGV Technical qualification - NVQ or City and Guilds preferred, or relevant experience
• Experience with auxiliary equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics is advantageous
• Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred
• Excellent customer service skills and a team player, able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Routine inspection and repair of vehicles within the workshop
• Work on vehicles from manufacturers like Mercedes, Dennis Eagle, DAF, Isuzu, Terberg
• Perform MOT inspections, repairs, and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
• Attend breakdowns, diagnose issues, and complete repairs to high standards
• Complete all necessary compliance paperwork
