JRL Group in Borehamwood is seeking an experienced HGV Technician/Fitter to join our team in our Borehamwood yard. Mon-Fri, 06:00–16:00, with mid-week overtime available to boost earnings. You will be skilled in PMIs, MOT prep, servicing and complex fault finding to keep our fleet safe, legal and efficient.

Responsibilities include diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, air braking and hydraulic systems, with accurate digital record keeping and adherence to DVSA standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised HGV technician qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3).
• Hands-on experience in a commercial vehicle workshop.
• Proven ability with PMIs, MOT prep and fault diagnosis on HGVs.

Responsabilités

• Carry out PMIs in line with DVSA guidelines and maintenance schedules.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure systems meet legal standards.
• Perform servicing and fault finding on HGVs, trailers, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and vehicle history digitally.
