Job Description:

Starting salary of £22.75 per hour with a £1,000 signing bonus payable after 6 months of service.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 2200hrs to 0600hrs.

Join our expert team at Volvo Trucks Enfield as an HGV Technician on our night shift. You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Volvo trucks to high standards in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out repairs according to manufacturer’s procedures safely and responsibly.
• Using Volvo Standard Times and Special Tools for repairs.
• Assisting in fault diagnosis.
• Complying with warranty procedures.
• Working with Parts Team for correct replacements.
• Road testing vehicles (if holding an HGV license).
• Assisting with roadside breakdowns.
• Accurately completing job cards and service sheets.
• Reporting vehicle defects.
• Maintaining workshop facilities and tools.
• Wearing PPE when appropriate.
• Supporting training and development of trainees and apprentices.

Candidate requirements:

Hold a City and Guilds, NVQ3, or equivalent qualification, with apprenticeship or relevant experience in the HGV or commercial vehicle industry. Basic computer literacy and knowledge of vehicle technology are preferred.
