Job summary

Greenhous DAF Birmingham is seeking a skilled Night HGV Technician to join our after-hours workshop team. You will maintain and repair customer vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring maximum uptime and safe operation of fleets on the road.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, experience on HGVs preferred, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work nights independently within a fast-paced environment. OTE £50,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience working on HGVs (DAF experience advantageous but not essential).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, reliable and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete MOT preparations and inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with DAF and DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work independently during night shifts while maintaining high productivity.

Greenhous DAF Birminghamis now seeking a skilled, motivated and reliableNight HGV Technicianto join our expanding, high-performing after-hours workshop team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a market-leading brand in a professional, fully equipped and fast-paced environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime, minimising downtime and keeping fleets operating safely and efficiently on the road.

We are looking for an individual who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, demonstrates strong attention to detail and is committed to providing exceptional service at all times.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above and below, the successful candidate may be required to undertake other duties as necessary to support the ongoing needs and success of the business.

Salary: OTE £50,000 per annum

Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 7.00 pm to 6.30 am, i.e. 46hours per week, 20 minutes paid break.

Key Responsibilities:
