HGV Technician - NIGHTS

  • Full Time/Permanent
  • 17.00 to 20.43 per hour dependent on experience.
  • Hours Monday - Thursday 6pm - 6am
  • 1 in 3 Sundays Required (Paid a time and a half)
  • 21 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities of an HGV Technician:

  • In the role of HGV Technician, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Reporting to the Workshop Manager
  • Servicing
  • Maintaining and fixing various faults and mechanical issues
  • Dealing with electrical faults in units
  • Maintaining and fixing driving and parking sensors
  • Required to work on HGV Units and Trailers
  • Complete administrative tasks and reports as requested
  • Fixing Suzie lines and connections
  • Diagnostic work
  • Brakes checks and changes
  • Suspension work
  • MOT Prep & Post MOT repairs

Requirements of HGV Technician

  • Have a Level 2 or 3 qualification with Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV Licence beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience in fault diagnostic equipment, e.g. Tech tool, STAR and JAL and including trailer systems
  • Must have your own hand tools to bring with you
