Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Newcastle is recruiting a HGV Technician to join our busy depot. This full-time position runs 42.5 hours per week with a 7am–4pm shift from Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will complete service and repair documentation, overhaul hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and maintain high standards of workshop housekeeping. Required: NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs and MOT preparation experience.

Qualifications

• The core skills and qualifications required for a HGV Technician are provided by the employer.
• Time served or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in motor vehicle repairs is required.
• Experience with MOT preparation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete service and repair documentation and records per standards.
• Overhaul hydraulic and pneumatic systems and workshop equipment.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards, electronically and on paper.
