HGV Mechanic opportunity

My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company with depots across the North West, is actively seeking to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Mechanic based in the Haydock area on a full-time permanent basis.

They offer a condensed working week of Monday – Thursday and Tuesday – Friday Days, with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings paid at 1.5X.

HGV Mechanic duties

• Working in a purpose-built, well-equipped workshop, the successful HGV Mechanic will undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
• Duties include correcting running defects, full vehicle overhauls, diagnostics, and more.
• You will also perform pre-MOT checks and necessary repairs.

HGV Mechanic experience / qualifications required

• Detailed experience as an HGV Mechanic and familiarity with modern commercial vehicles are required.
• Experience with breakdowns or onsite clinics is advantageous.
