HGV Technician

Location: Sherburn In Elmet

Shift: Mon-Fri, 6am-2.30pm and 11.30am-8pm (alternate)

Salary: £18.89 per hour

About Your New Company

A family-run business established for over 30 years, with multiple awards for service and 13 depots across the UK. They are currently looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join their Sherburn In Elmet depot.

About Your New HGV Technician Role

You will perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on HGV vehicles and trailers, providing technical support from fault analysis to vehicle overhauls.

You will ensure all work is carried out to high standards in line with health and safety regulations.

You will also undertake pre-MOT checks and necessary repairs.

General Duties
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers.
  • Conduct fault analysis and vehicle overhauls.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Complete pre-MOT checks and repairs as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and trailers.
  • Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience in all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
  • HGV Class 1 license (desirable but not essential).
