Location: Trafford Park, Greater Manchester

Salary: Up to £53,196 per annum

Hours: 4 On 4 Off, 07:00 – 19:00

Contract: Permanent

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or LGV Fitter to join a well-established workshop in Trafford Park. This 4 on 4 off shift pattern provides excellent work-life balance while working on a variety of HGVs, LGVs, trailers, and fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain HGVs and commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
  • Complete job cards, service records, and compliance documentation accurately
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workshop workflow
  • Engage in ongoing training and technical development
Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or LGV Fitter
  • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • HGV Class 1 licence
  • Experience with Scania or main dealer vehicles
  • Positive, team-focused attitude
