Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a proactive HGV Technician to service and repair our fleet across the UK. This hands-on role focuses on safety, compliance and high workmanship standards.

You will diagnose faults, service to VOSA/MOT requirements, repair body and chassis, and keep precise records. Travel and overtime may be required, with ongoing training and a supportive pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment.
• Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections.
• Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications.
• Maintain accurate records, complete necessary paperwork and time sheets.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic vehicle systems.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures and be responsible for your safety and those around you.
• Complete roadside repairs when necessary (training to be provided).
• Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
