Job summary
S J Bargh Scania Lancaster is expanding its Scania franchise workshop and seeks qualified HGV technicians. You will perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs and trailers using Scania diagnostic systems and OEM tooling in a modern, professional workshop.
We welcome Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualifications (HGV or Light Vehicle). The role offers funded progression to Level 3, structured mentoring, and a clear career path within a supportive team.
Qualifications
- Role suited to technicians with Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification (HGV or Light Vehicle).
- Strong mechanical electrical and diagnostic capability is required.
- Understanding of DVSA inspection standards, brake testing and roadworthiness compliance.
- Experience using digital maintenance systems is essential.
Responsibilities
- Full vehicle and trailer safety inspections, servicing and repairs to DVSA standards.
- Advanced diagnostics using Scania systems, OEM tooling and electronic test equipment.
- Maintenance of ancillaries and specialist body applications (hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems).
- Ensuring accurate, audit ready maintenance records in line with DVSA and company requirements.
