Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to maintain and repair a varied fleet of heavy commercial vehicles. The role focuses on safe, efficient workmanship within a supportive workshop team.

You will service, inspect and diagnose faults on HGVs, perform repairs to brakes, suspension, electrical systems and more, and prepare vehicles for MOT to meet roadworthiness standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified technician with Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities for HGVs.
• Good knowledge of DVSA inspection and maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance per DVSA requirements.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and repair/replace components.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure roadworthiness.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns as required.
• Accurately complete job cards and inspection sheets.
