Job summary

Greenhous DAF Tamworth is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy goods vehicles to high standards in a modern workshop. The role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety and quality.

You will work Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays, in a busy service department and contribute to keeping fleets safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on HGVs.
• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace vehicle components as required.
• Complete all work in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and service records.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
