Job summary

Gap Technical Ltd is seeking an HGV Technician at their Thatcham facility to maintain fleet vehicles, diagnose faults, and carry out breakdowns to set standards. The role is days-based with competitive pay and benefits, including overtime opportunities.

The successful candidate will have Class 1 licensing preferred, strong communication, and the ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced distribution environment. Training and development are available.

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guild Level 2 in heavy vehicle maintenance or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Maintain the company's HGVs.
• Complete breakdowns and reactive work to high standards.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults with HGVs.
• Communicate technical information to teammates and escalate issues.
• Document work accurately.
• Demonstrate strong fault-finding for first-time fix.
