Job summary

Gap Technical Ltd is representing a global manufacturing business recruiting a HGV Technician to join their facility near Cumbernauld. The role is days only (Mon-Fri) with a salary of £48,700.

You will maintain the company’s HGV fleet, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, carry out breakdowns and reactive work to high standards, and document work accurately to support traceability and first-time fixes.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 2 in heavy vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
• Desirable Irtec certification; training funded after length of service.
• Ideally hold a Class 1 Licence.
• Experience in fast-paced distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the company's HGVs to manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure all work is completed on time and to high standards.
• Carry out breakdowns and reactive maintenance to required timeframe.
• Accurately diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and communicate findings to teammates.
• Document all work accurately for traceability and first-time fix.
