Job summary

A leading parcel delivery company in Oldbury seeks an experienced HGV/LGV Workshop Technician. The role involves servicing and maintaining a large fleet of vehicles, conducting fault diagnostics, and performing mechanical repairs. Ideal candidates have heavy goods experience, preferably with Level 3 qualifications in vehicle maintenance. Qualifications

• Experience within a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role.
• Ideally Level 3 trained or time served technician.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a fleet of approximately 1500 Mercedes Benz tractor units and 2700 trailers.
• Fault diagnostics on vehicles.
• MOT preparation for the vehicles.
• Weekly/monthly checks of HGV vehicles.
• Mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles.

Skills

Experience in Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role

Knowledge of Mercedes, DAF, Volvo, Renault

IRTECH licence qualification

Education

Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
