Job summary

Volvo Trucks UK is seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician to service and repair Volvo trucks at our UK workshop. You will diagnose faults, carry out safety inspections and MOT preparations, and ensure work meets manufacturer standards.

This role offers overtime opportunities, a £3,000 signing bonus, and generous benefits including pension, health plan, and cycle-to-work. A UK driving licence is preferred; join a team focused on safety, quality, and continuous development.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• A team player with a proactive attitude.
• Valid UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on Volvo HGVs to the highest standards.
• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Perform safety inspections, MOT preparations, and routine maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment

Salary up to £20 per hour + overtime time and a half (up to £30 per hour!)

Monday-Friday 06.00-14.00/14.00-22.00hrs

Alternate Saturdays paid @ overtime - time and a half (up to £30 per hour!!)
