Job description

VANRATH is recruiting a HGV Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to work with a leading provider of heavy commercial vehicles in NI.

Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Performing heavy vehicle fleet inspections, diagnostic testing, servicing, maintenance, and repairs, including parts replacement.
2. Ensuring repairs comply with manufacturer's procedures in a safe and responsible manner.
3. Completing jobs ranging from general servicing to fault finding, working on electrics, and carrying out strip and rebuild tasks.
4. Carrying out repairs in accordance with Standard Times using appropriate tools.
5. Assisting in fault diagnosis.
6. Following warranty procedures during repairs and on completion.
7. Working with the parts team to ensure correct replacement parts are fitted.
8. Road testing vehicles if required (HGV licence holder).
9. Reporting all vehicle defects to the Workshop Supervisor.
10. Completing service sheets as per company instructions.

Requirements:

• Matching NVQ Level 3 with relevant experience.
• HGV licence (not essential).
