A well-established business in the HGV Industry is looking for an HGV Technician / Mechanic in York. This full-time, permanent role involves conducting vehicle inspections, repairs, and diagnostics. Qualifications

  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognized apprenticeship.
  • Commercial license is a distinct advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements.
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection.
  • General servicing and MOT preparation.
  • Fault finding & diagnostics.

Skills

Detailed knowledge of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems

Education

Full industry qualifications and recognized apprenticeship

Job description

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Depot Location: York

Working Hours: £17.85per hour
Week 1 = 7am - 16.30pm
Week 2 = 11am - 20.30pm (Saturday Morning 7am to 12 midday £26.77ph)

Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role

Financial Package: £45.250 to Per Annum

My client, a well-established business in the HGV Industryis actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter on a rotating shift.

Working in an established team of HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter, you will be required to undertake the following;

·Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
·Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
·General Servicing and MOT preparation
·Fault finding & diagnostics
·Updating all required paperwork / databases

The successful HGV HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter will have the following attributes;

·hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
·Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
·A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn't essential
·Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
