Now Hiring: HGV Workshop Technician – Coventry (Night Shifts)

Location: Coventry
Pay Rate: £24.00 per hour
Overtime: £30.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 20:00 – 06:00 (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

OA Group is currently recruiting skilled and reliable HGV Workshop Technicians for a fantastic opportunity based in Coventry. Join a forward-thinking team where your expertise will be valued, and your career can grow.

This role offers a mix of workshop-based tasks and fieldwork using fully equipped mobile service vans.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance in line with DVSA standards

Service engines and prepare vehicles for MOT

Diagnose faults and complete mechanical repairs

Use diagnostic tools and R2C software to record and complete job documentation

Attend roadside breakdowns and occasional out-of-hours callouts

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working on HGVs in a maintenance or technician role

Strong knowledge of DVSA roadworthiness standards

NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent), or time-served experience

Confident in fault diagnosis and MOT preparation

Desirable (Training Provided If Needed):

IRTEC accreditation

HGV Class C E licence

Experience with car transporters

LOLER testing knowledge

Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

Experience using R2C systems

What You’ll Receive:

Excellent pay: £24.00 per hour (plus £30.00 per hour for overtime)

Working Hours:
