Role: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV EngineerLocation: Hillingdon, UB8 3EUHours: 45 hours per week | 9 hours per day between 07:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday- Looking for flexibility? We offer 40-hour and 26-hour per week options to fit your needsSalary: between £40,000.00 - £48,231.55pa DOE (based on 45hpw)

Are you a skilled technician with a passion for vehicle maintenance and a commitment to high standards? Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HGV Technician to join our Aftermarket team!

This hands-on role involves maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
• Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections
• Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
• Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems
• Liaise professionally with customers and work independently at customer sites
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards
• Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required
• Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge

Ideal Candidate:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
• Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including overtime
• Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus
