  • Perform repairs highlighted during inspections.
  • Conduct general servicing and MOT preparation.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Update all required paperwork/databases.

HGV Technician


Depot Location: Billingham


Working Hours: GBP17.85 per hour


Week 1: 7am - 4.30pm


Week 2: 11am - 8.30pm (Saturday morning 7am to 12 midday, GBP26.77ph)


Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent role


Financial Package: GBP45,250 to GBP48,000 per annum

My client, a well-established business in the HGV industry, is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician on a rotating shift.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Carrying out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
  2. Performing repairs highlighted during inspections
  3. General servicing and MOT preparation
  4. Fault finding and diagnostics
  5. Updating all required paperwork/databases

The successful HGV Technician will have the following attributes:

  1. Hold full industry qualifications and have completed a recognised apprenticeship
  2. Have detailed knowledge and understanding of truck and trailer maintenance
  3. A commercial licence would be advantageous but is not essential
  4. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, maintenance, and repair
