Job description

HGV Technician
Up to £21 per hour DOE
Tamworth
Monday to Friday,
47.5 hours per week
Permanent


We're looking for a skilled and reliable HGV Technician to join our busy, workshop-based team in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established company, maintaining both our own fleet and vehicles from external clients.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain, inspect, repair, and test HGV vehicles and plant equipment to DfT and VOSA standards
  2. Prepare and present vehicles for MOT inspections
  3. Perform regular safety inspections and fault diagnosis (hydraulic, pneumatic & electrical systems)
  4. Carry out welding, fabrication, and body repairs
  5. Fit and remove ancillary equipment, accessories, and livery
  6. Prepare and decommission vehicles as required
  7. Complete all paperwork accurately and update workshop systems
  8. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed
  9. Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised
  10. Attend relevant training courses as required
  11. Carry out any additional duties relevant to the role
