HGV Technician

Job Title: HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500!

Company: Biffa Waste - St Helens Depot

Salary: £19.22 per hour

Shift Pattern: Early and Late shifts rotating weekly. Overtime & Call Out available.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management handling equipment in compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Perform scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments.
• Work with a diverse fleet ranging from light commercial vans to 44t articulated assets, providing opportunities to develop technical skills.

Candidate Profile

We welcome applications from professionals with previous experience as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic. Skilled or semi-skilled technicians interested in upskilling and career development are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprenticeship qualification, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification.
• Minimum of a car/van driving license.
