Job description

Job Title: HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500!

Company: Biffa Waste - St Albans Depot

Pay Rate: £20.65 per hour (45 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: Mix of early and late shifts, rotating, with overtime and call out available

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet operational commitments.
• Work with a diverse fleet ranging from light commercial vans to 44t articulated assets, offering opportunities to learn and develop your technical skills.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking professionals with experience in roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, or HGV Technician. Skilled or semi-skilled technicians interested in upskilling and career development are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Full Level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification.
• Minimum car/van driving license.
• HGV license is essential.
