HGV Technician – Redditch

Are you an experienced HGV Technician ready for your next challenge? We’re expanding our busy Redditch Team and are looking for a proactive and skilled HGV Technician to join our team on a full time contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of in-house fleet repairs, work with a supportive team, and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.

Pay Rates:

• £18.90 per hourMonday to Friday (£19.60 per hour if have C+E licence).
• £28.35 per hour after 40 hours per week.
• Bank holidays paid at 2.5 x hourly rate.

Shift Patterns:

• 06:00 – 15:00 week 1
• 11:00 – 20:00 week 2
• Shift rotation

Your Role:

• Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet to meet both legal and company standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and handle transport to the Test Centre.
• Record defects and maintain accurate service records.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including minor accident damage.
• Work with a range of vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and collaborate effectively with the wider team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a similar role (essential).
• Hands-on commercial HGV experience.
• A can-do attitude and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
• Attention to detail with excellent record-keeping.
• Team player.

Qualifications:

• City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in Motor Vehicle Management
• Or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
