Qualifications

  • Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs.
  • Current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
  • Ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards.

HGV Technician – Numerous shifts available

SPONSORSHIP PROVIDED FOR INDIVIDUALS ALREADY BASED IN THE UK

Hourly Rate: Up to £19.50ph on days and £21.50ph on nights

Unlimited Overtime x1.5 after 40 hours

Location: Numerous locations across M4 corridor and Midlands

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to join our brilliant team at one of our Mercedes-Benz dealership in the UK. As an HGV Technician, your role will be to keep our customers’ vehicles on the road, via quality, safe and compliant maintenance. The right candidate will be able to deliver an exceptional service and to the highest quality.

Day to day, you will be:

Performing major and mingor repairs to Mercedes-Benz trucks.

Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services.

Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.

Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.

Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.

Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.

Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.

Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.

Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role:

Qualification - You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus, will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
