Job description

What will you be doing?
  1. Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
  2. Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment.
  3. Perform hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs.
  4. Carry out general work as required by the Workshop Management Team.
  5. Work within Health & Safety regulations and be responsible for your safety and those around you.
  6. Ensure all necessary paperwork and timesheets are completed accurately.
  7. Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations. (IRTEC Licence preferred, but training can be provided)
  8. Complete roadside repairs when necessary (training to be provided).

  10. Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification, or similar trades such as automotive or plant.
  11. Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
  12. Hold a HGV driving licence (preferred but not essential).
  13. Supply your own comprehensive toolkit. Diagnostic equipment and specialised tools are provided by Veolia.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: Up to £49,140 per annum, based on a 45-hour week, with additional allowances and bonuses. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave, pension scheme, ongoing training, volunteering days, referral bonuses, physiotherapy, private GP, discounts, health resources, cycle scheme, support for HGV Licence attainment, and more.

Hours

45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, rotating mornings and afternoons.
