Job description

Overview

HGV Technician – Location: Bamber Bridge

Salary: £44,460 - £19 per hour - 45 hour week | Overtime paid at 1.3

Shift: Days 7am–5pm and 8am–6pm, 1/2 Saturdays 8am–12pm

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to completion.
• Ensure work is performed to the highest standards in line with health and safety requirements for equipment, machines and tools.
• Undertake pre-MOT checks and perform any required repairs.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles, including tractor units and rigid commercial vehicles.
• HGV licence Class 1 (desirable, not essential).
• Industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 as an HGV Technician).
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
