If you know your way around a toolbox and want to work in a no-nonsense, straight-talking workshop with a proper team behind youthis could be worth your time.

About the role

This isnt one of those jobs where youre stuck doing oil changes all day. Youll be trusted with the full range of diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a fleet of heavy goods vehicle. From fault-finding right through to getting them back out on the road. Youll have the equipment, support, and breathing space to do things properly. No cutting corners, no conveyor belt pressure.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. No late shifts, no nights, and your weekends are your own.

Carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on a range of HGVs

MOT preparation and inspections

Ensuring vehicles are compliant with DVSA standards

Completing all relevant paperwork and service records accurately

Supporting the workshop team and working collaboratively

Key requirements

Previous experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent or Time served

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills


A team player with a good work ethic and a sense of pride in what you do

HGV licence would be a bonus, but not essential
