Job description

Are you a skilled HGV Technician looking for an exciting role with industry-leading benefits and long-term career potential?

We are recruiting for experienced HGV Technicians to join their team across various shift patterns, including days, nights, and rotating shifts. Salary: 20-23 an hour, with enhanced pay for night shifts and overtime opportunities
Hours: Various Shifts Available
Location: Northampton

Job Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs and LCVs to DVSA standards
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and rectify issues promptly
  • Ensure all vehicles meet health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Keep up to date with all relevant DVSA and manufacturer updates
  • Support and mentor apprentices as needed
  • Follow work instructions issued by the Workshop Controller or Shift Supervisor
  • Actively participate in training and ongoing development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance
  • Proven experience maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing issues on HGVs/LCVs
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own tools (supported by an annual tooling voucher scheme)
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • A positive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
